Sudbury Christmas Tree Festival

Don't throw away your flowers when you do the dead-heading!

Sudbury in Bloom's entry to this year's Sudbury Christmas Tree Festival is entirely decorated with dried flowers, seedheads, cones and foliage!
All are from plants you can find growing in Sudbury's green spaces, either areas cared for by us, or by our partners. Total cost for all the decorations: £8.99 (for a can of gold spray paint)!
The dried flowers include Alliums, Achillea (yarrow), Cynara (cardoon), Hydrangea, Teasel and ornamental grasses, joined by some spectacular Eastern White Pine Cones and fresh Holly & Ivy.

We can highly recommend a trip to see the dozens of trees packed into St Gregory's Church from today until Wednesday - it's a truly magical sight, and a real showcase for the creativity of so many groups, clubs, businesses and individuals in the town.

The festival is organised by Sudbury Rotary Club to raise funds for good causes. Entry is just £1 and the church is open 10am-4pm every day, finishing at 3pm on Wednesday 7th December.
