Activlives are a key partner with Sudbury in Bloom and work together with us on multiple projects.  We are delighted with their work in Sudbury and the success that they have had in inspiring volunteers that supports the ethos of Sudbury in Bloom.
‘Grow Your Community – Sudbury’ provides opportunities for local people to get involved in community growing in and around Sudbury. Come and join the FREE gardening sessions in Sudbury’s parks and open spaces.

The project builds upon an existing community gardening project in Sudbury at Weaver’s Piece (Siam Gardens), where the partnership has been working alongside local people and Greener Sudbury to improve the open space. The project is led by ActivLives, in partnership with Public Health and Protection Directorate, Suffolk County Council and Babergh District Council’s Public Realm Team.

While this work supports the district council’s need to test out ownership and maintenance of public space, its long-term aim is to establish more flexible volunteering groups that operate with a level of autonomy and with a programme of regular development of public spaces in their community.

At the same time, we want to ensure people can access opportunities to get involved in their local space and have the support to do so, whatever their motivation might be or challenges they face.
Activlives meet at BELLE VUE PARK, SUDBURY CO10 2RT every Thursday 9am until 12pm.
Drop in, all welcome – refreshments provided.

Activlives also work in other Green Spaces in Sudbury and Great Cornard. Get in touch about areas where you live that you would like to tend with your neighbours. The Grow Your Community project wants to help make a change.
