A note from Chairman Chris Storey:
We were really delighted to be awarded Silver in the Anglia in Bloom judging this year. All of the volunteer effort and all of the planning and work has been recognised and huge thanks are due to all of the volunteers who have helped to keep Sudbury looking great throughout the year. We were also delighted that Eden Rose Coppice were recognised as best in the Anglia in Bloom region in the category of Garden for Special Needs Award. We were all hugely impressed by the visit to Eden Rose Coppice and the dedication and commitment of the team there. What a wonderful way for Anglia in Bloom to recognise this dedicated organisation! It is sometimes difficult to realise how fortunate we are to have not just a wonderful town centre but also Eden Rose Coppice, The Meadows, Belle Vue Gardens and so many other facilities within close proximity to the town centre. The library also has a small garden area and looks after a wheelbarrow outside the front and this further effort to brighten the facility for visitors and also to keep the Market Hill interesting is a credit to staff at the library and the Tourist Information Centre. Well done to all – your work is appreciated!
