Introducing Mark Mason our voluntary Chief Plantsman, with over 30 years working in horticulture. From the moment Mark joined us everything changed. We now produce hundreds of plants each year from seed and cuttings, saving us valuable funds. Mark`s knowledge is being passed on to other volunteers, which will in time help to make a visible impact on Sudbury`s appearance.

It's always nice to see the bulbs that you have planted appear as if like magic to cheer us all up. We have planted many thousands of bulbs since we first started and wewill continue to do so.

During April we worked on McDonalds Roundabout and Siam Gardens. It can take two or three years to refurbish a garden or planter before the desired effect is evident. We are currently planting up the Courtyard Garden at the Resource Centre after its arduous makeover during the winter months.

It's time to start planning and organising our residents competition `Pride of Sudbury`. Last year we ran a lockdown event and asked people to upload photos of their gardens. This year we hope it will be back to normal with judging and a presentation evening.
