About the Sudbury in Bloom Committee

The Sudbury in Bloom Commitee has been in existance for since the mid 1990s to help enhance the floral displays around the the Town of Sudbury.

Sudbury in Bloom is completly independent of any council, contractor or other organisation and is a non political voluntary group.

The committee meets approx. once a month in the Waggon and Horses to discuss:
- Planting Schemes
- Our Entry to the Annual Anglia in Bloom Competition
- Ideas to Improve the Town
- Responses to Consultations (such as Section 106 money)
- New Schemes
- Litter Campaigns
- Improvements at the Railway Station
- Funding to external groups for plants etc
- The Provision of Additional Planters around the town

Sudbury in Bloom is not responsible for the contracting of staff or directly responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of flower beds, however through our members and contacts at the Town and District Councils we maintain a close working relationship to ensure the best is provided by all parties in making the town a nice place to live, work or visit.
